Hi Alex,

For us to be able to help you will need to provide a lot more information:

What Version you are running?

What Application are you running?

What is all your configuration?

What things are ok?

What are you doing when the problem occurs?

What happens?

Does Windows freeze or only the application?

What is the minimum action required to recover?  Kill Application?  Cycle Power on KFLOP?  Re-boot Windows?

Regards
TK

Hi Alex,
Im not Tom, but I had a similar issue. In my case it was the USB extension cable from KFLOP to PC. After removing, it worked fine.

Hi Alex,

We may be able to help more if you put more effort into your responses.

If you suspect noise you might run some experiments.  Does it ever freeze with the spindle off?  With motor power off?

Are your supplies isolated from earth GND?  Describe your wiring.

TK

Just a note from my experience.  I was having random screen freeze ups with my system when using a laptop with a touchpad while one hand was on the touchpad and my other hand was touching the machine frame.  The PWM noise in the motor frame was apparently getting through the machine frame through the touchpad to the laptop.  I was unable to get a USB isolator to work with the laptop.  So I went to a desktop with a USB isolator and a mouse and the freeze ups stopped.
I was using a SnapAmp on two stepper axes without encoder feedback.

 Hope that helps.

Was it the power supply for the Kflop or the PC?
